How do I get a textured/natural look after I've bleached my hair?
I'm naturally an ashy blonde but have been dying my hair bright or ruby red for about 6 years now. I'm takin the plunge and going back to blonde.
Before I'm told to go to a salon i'm pretty confident - i've had two diaster before and am takin good steps to prevent it (fading out the red, conditioning heavily, using a toner afterwards and will still do strand tests).
Thing is once i've bleached my hair i'm going to be left with block colour - that slightly charvey peroxide look and its not what i'm going for. I want to put some natural highlights back in to create texture but don't know how to go about it. Theres various blone dyes you can get from the pharmacist but arent these just various levels of bleachin? I mean - will they be liftin colour out or putting colour back in?
Use foil papers and weave some hair into them without dying it. Color the rest.
try a hair shampoo for brunettes. It will tone down the harshness until your natural color blends in.
