How long do you have to wait until you can change into hoop earrings?
I just got my ears pierced about 5 weeks ago now. I'm waiting until next week to take out my studs and wear different earrings. I have already went earring shopping this week with my mom, and I bought 1 pair of heart studs, 4 dangly earrings, and 2 hoop earrings, but I'm not sure how long I have to wait until I can wear the hoops. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to anyone that answers my questoin! xxoo
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the hoops are the small kinds, not the big ones. =)
I was told to wait six weeks after piercing before using any other earrings. When you take out your studs, bathe the holes carefully and make sure they are completely clean and that there's no sign of any infection. Don't wear any "fashion jewellery" to begin with - just in case it causes irritation. If you get any itching or redness with your new earrings, take them out straight away. Your hoops should be fine, so long as they're gold or gold -plated. If not, wait a few more weeks before you wear them.
